WORK EXPERIENCE:

Leading a team of developers using Python to build an email communications platform. Lead the team in rebuilding the front-end portion of the application from a homegrown PHP web framework to a Django-based application. We recently rearchitected the backend service as a WSGI Python web service that powers the Django application. Learning how to lead other developers is certainly ongoing but has been a great joy.

Fylmz, Developer, Franklin, TN (September 2006 - April 2007)
Developed and maintained the functionality of the Fylmz website. This included new social networking functionalities, as well as, supporting the online film festival activities of the site. Built a blogging system and news feed system for user base. Reengineered film submission process to enable automatic handling of video files via a web service including storage with Amazon's S3 service. Revamped user registration with AJAX capabilities to make for easier signup and more reliable user data.

Darlington School, Faculty, Rome, GA (August 2004 - June 2006)
Instruct English and Student Publication classes, as well as, supervise dormitory activities and other student supervision. Develop curriculum and lesson plans, work with department head and other members to ensure consistency and quality of instruction. Heavy use of technology in publishing the monthly student newspaper and yearbook. Developed curriculum for internet radio station and online newspaper/blog for the 2006-2007 school year.
